Wrong Wrong Wrong!!!
Living things are classified into 5 kingdoms - animalia, plantae, fungi, protista, and monera.
Bacteria which are definitley alive, belong to the kingdom monera.

madcapmagishion: You must be from Echo Valley, Echo Valley, Echo Valley, but thanks for the correction. Now how about the one who claims he is not an animal? To which of the five does he belong?

If you can read, under my avatar it says " On a large river that flows north in Florida" and being that there are no valleys in Florida. I guess Echo Valley is another wrong guess.

All human beings/people belong ultimately to the;

Kingdom: Animalia
Phyla: Chordata
Class: Mammalia
Order: Primmates
Family: Homindae
Genus: Homo
Species: Sapien

Allthough an alien such as yourself may look at all human beings as animals, we as people do not view ourselves as animals per se... :mrgreen:

Nagy;
You live on the St. John's river since it's the only one flowing north in the state. And it would seem our freind here is "MINERAL" if he's not ANIMAL or VEGETABLE although I know a few VEGETABLES that seem to make entries on this website.

That is nonsense. You have the same internal organs, skeletal structure, basic body chemistry. Moreover, you are not only an animal, you a mammal and a primate. We are not a special creation, but a part of the rest.

My wife's dog protests that he is not an animal, either; he is a canine being.

Actually there are rain forests in the USA. But mostly temperate rainforests in Alaska and the Pacific northwest areas of the continental USA. The only tropical rain forest thats considered to be in the USA, is on the island of Puerto Rico a possesion of the USA. The main difference in tropical and temperate rainforests is:
Rain, and lots of it (or other precipitation, i.e. snow, drizzle, mist, fog ) Temperate rain forests receive up to 100 inches of precipitation/year, while tropical rain forests may receive up to 400 inches of rain/year.

This is spectacular creationist nonsense. An animal is not defined by whether or not it has a tail. I would be deeply embarrassed to have posted such credulousness and misplaced sense of exceptionalism. Lastly, what makes you think that your precious Bible is the ultimate source on scientific matters?

I've never actually run across a real-life actual creationist until this thread. Holy crap! I'll bet he thinks that dinosaurs roamed the earth the same time as humans. You can be a believer and still believe in evolution. Who says that God's "day" is 24 hours long? Since time (vis a vis the length of a day) varies from planet to planet, how do we know that God's "day" isn't actually billions of years long? If God's day was about 2 billion years in human time that explains the six days of biblical creation equaling the 14 billion years or so since the Big Bang. Why is that so hard for people to grasp?
