I enjoy collecting old items. Started doing it when I was young with sports memorabilia. Mainly autographs and baseball cards. Then as I got a little older I started collecting newspapers and magazines of historic events. Then came old camera's and radios. The older I got the larger the items became. Old cars became a addiction. At least that what my wife says. lol And now I have my first canning jar. Thanks you for the information. I learn something new everyday.

The colored jars are the ones to look for. Blue and green tinted ones are rare and more valuable, so look for those if you do decide to start collecting old canning jars!

I just happened upon this jar. But you never know. Thank you for taking time to respond.

There's something magical about the way light hits glass. Been a while since I played with it. All taken with natural light.

These are beautiful....wonderful results ncshutterbug!

You are welcome Judy. Love the 'rear view' image. The ocean looks very inviting.

Time for another challenge with 'glass' as the subject. Teach me as I rarely shoot this as a subject. There is a lot of glass out there so any will do. Have fun!

A couple of examples.....

Interesting topic. Can't wait to see the creativity

Thank you so much Irene. Yours are very nice. I do love bougainvillea. I've tried numerous times to get good shots of them, without good results. Yours is lovely.

I think I may have posted my photos in the wrong place, so will try via this reply. The antique seltzer bottle was sent from France to my grandparents over 100 years ago. I have the instructions, but they are written in German script and I don't read German. The telephone pole insulators are from our collection.
