The scope was a Sky Watcher ED 120. The adapter was an Orion StedyPix EZ Smartphone adapter. The camera/phone was an IPhone 6s. It was shooting through a 17mm eyepiece. Most any camera phone should work.

Liked your pics.
Searched around & found this: "Gosky Universal Cell Phone Adapter Mount - Compatible with Binocular Monocular Spotting Scope Telescope and Microscope - For Iphone Sony Samsung Moto Etc" on Amazon for $19 at: https://www.amazon.com/Gosky-Universal-Phone-Adapter-Mount/dp/B013D2ULO6. Found a review at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xliqPyMvqqk . Thought I'd try it w/my Refractor telescope. The last pics of the moon I shot were w/a 35mm using B&W & weren't great.

Should work. Wonder how it attaches to the eyepiece? Anyway, a lot cheaper than the one I got!

Excellent. Which telescope did you use?

It looks like an Orion telescope with an Apple iPhone 7.

Excellent pics! If you want to save a BUNCH of $$, make the adapter. Check out EYES ON THE SKY for a DIY version of the camera holder that you can make for about $5 in about 30 minutes. http://eyesonthesky.com/

NOW you tell me how to make a cheap adapter! But that was a good article, and I'll make one because once in a while I give some sort of talk on night phototargraphy and astrophotography, and it is always good to have some samples of simple and inexpensive equipment and adapters. Thanks for the link!

I was wondering what kind of a picture you could get by attaching a camera phone to a telescope, so purchased an adapter and mounted my phone to one of my scopes and tried for the moon. Here is what I got. Feel free to check out the download.

Impressive...!!! Excellent work.....Thanks for your post.
