Remember the image on the phone may still be too small so you may have to zoom it up a bit in order to get the exposure to be correct. My scope is a fast scope, so with the right eyepiece I can more than completely fill the view when looking at the Moon. A diagonal is just that, typically 45 or 90 degrees. An erector gives you an upright image, which is essential if you also use the scope for terrestrial viewing.
