Some tree bokeh. Our tree this year is not the "usual" it is 5 cut birch (2" diameter at most) in planters weighted with rocks and sand. Wanted something different this year. The tiny lights make some interesting bokeh. The tree has only our glass blown ornament collection on it, bird nests, feathers and strings of rafia for the "nature" look. No angel just a cluster of pine cones on tallest spike. Some, I purposely shot out of focus and will use for layering designs. The first 2 are "Intentional Bokeh" for layers.

Fantastic work Pat. You always give me more to think on. Remember 'Glass' is coming up next week!

Being all about the defocused areas/boken, these are 3 of my favorite lenses of the ones I own(ed) during the digital age. The 4th is from last night, playing with an old body and lenses that I just purchased while the D600 is in the shop. Not that it really matters, but that lens (80-200) was owned by 2 journalists, one that allegedly used it at the WTC attack. So it's been around a bit and so far seems to be ok, and surprisingly not beaten to death physically.

Nice series, Glenn. And a little history to go along with it.

Don't know whether to thank you, be jealous, or say "rub it in" 3 degrees here this AM and snow due tomorrow.
