I'm in agreement with robertjeri. This is ring-necked duck (Aythyra collaris). Notice the dark bill with the two light stripes.

I googled ring neck there is a picture that is so much like yours :)
Ring Neck and Scaup or often referred to as the same duck.

You're right. I googled up both and they look exactly the same except for the white stripes.

Incorrect. Ring-necked Ducks and Scaups, both Greater and Lesser, are three different species.
