Photos are of the old Haleakala Dairy manager's beach home. The home was occupied until the early 1950s. After a new home was built this was used as a weekend/vacation home for its employees. The house caught fire during a party (thankfully, no one was hurt). Cows are still on the property but not in the numbers it used to have. Today the property is primarily used as a private camping ground.

Partridges run freely on the property (There are no pear trees._)
What a great shame, it looked as though this once was a handsome property.
Thank you for posting your photographs and the information.
You have recorded the building well with your photographs.
Last photo looks more like a peacock (with his courting feathers shed) than a partridge to me. Interesting old building, though.

Very nice photography JoAnne, this is actually very sad, it's a piece of history.

Yes it is sad, but there is good that goes with it. It allowed for the property to be offered as a campgrounds so more people can use it. Prices are also very reasonable. Mahalo for looking in.
What a shame Joanne with a bit of TLC it could be made nice again.Nice shots.
