To me this work has a mystical quality. It is very soothing but I found myself coming up with many different thoughts of possible interpretations. This is a very creative and original piece!

Yes Cwilson, it does have a mystical quality about it. Excellent observation. Thank you very much for your very kind analysis of this photo.

Bob, this was shot in the art gallery of Soka University in Aliso Viejo, Calif. I got permission to photograph a model there and this was one of many amazing photographs that I captured and altered in post production. Thank you for your "moving" description of this image!

Brent, when I first looked at this shot my raw impression was of a sunrise with the light building above her outstretched arm and her face turned toward the sun. Further study gave me the feeling that the light might be more spiritual and she was welcoming it with outstretched arms. Because the outstretched arm blocks the light, another thought was that she might be trying to protect those behind her from the light whatever it may be. Her posture is bold and forceful and yet she seems small in the sea of swirling color. All of this is just spontaneous thoughts that evolved as I studied your shot. You may have a totally different intent!

Very cerebral Cwilson. I like it when viewers such as you read into my photos. Since I am an artist first and a photographer second, I love it when viewers read into my art and or photos! When I see possibilities in my photos I just use the different computer programs like a brush to the canvas and play with them.

She is beautiful and to me she is looking to the light for enlightenment? Maybe. So glad she is facing away from the camera. No matter, it is a beautiful, creative image with great emotional appeal. Love it.

Brent
This image is truly beguiling. I see many area I wish more UHH'er would delve into. I find you seem to be a master of the art of making a person say, I wish I were in this space. I congratulate your skills and thinking.
