I have put several hundred photos on a flash drive (SanDisk) and want a slide show to begin upon inserting the drive in tv or computer. On my computer I just get a list of photos by name not a slide show.
How do I set this up in my computer?
Thanks, Don
On way is to place them in a PowerPoint presentation. It can be converted to an MPEG
You use a program to create your slideshow. Adobe Lightroom is one program that does this. I'm sure there are others.

There has to be an instruction set that tells how to step through the images for the slide show. Typically, a computer program is used to set up the configuration and identify the desired images. When you click the " Go" button, the program writes all your images and the files containing the instruction set to the desired media (USB stick, CD, hard drive, etc), so that when you plug it in/start it, the images will be displayed.
Open the first image in windows photo viewer and press F11
I have an epson projector that will show images from a flash drive without the need of having a computer connected to it
You can use Windows Photo app to do this, also most PP software will make a slide show, the ones I use do anyway.
If you have a mac and apple tv you can project a slide show using bridge, part of photoshop. Other software may also do slideshows that apple kit will also transfer to a tv.
if its any use, I have a simple utility that was on a photo CD called picshow.exe. Its has a few files including autorun.inf. It plays all jpgs in a pictures folder. Just tested on a USB drive on W7 x64 and works just fine providing windows is set up to autorun a usb on insertion. If not just run picshow.exe It has no settings just displays photos full screen on about 2s interval.
If you want a copy email me and I'll send you a copy
Most computers have a built in program that captures your photos. When you open the flash drive, click on the folder that contains the photos and the computer will prompt you: "Open with" and offer you several options including the program that came with the computer. Once you've opened that app it will offer you options on how you want to view them.
My old Picassa program did that nicely. It's about the only thing I liked about it. I always use Power Point now. But it takes a lot of time to set up, I think. But you can set it to change automatically and set the time each one will show. So once you've started the ball rolling, it will keep rolling without prompting.
