Just received a new CD for OSE#15. Should I Uninstall PSE #7, and then Install #15? I tried to get the info from Adobe's site, but seems to be a communications problem.

It is up to you. My choice would be to install the new one and make sure it is working and you like it. Then decide if you want to get rid of the old one.

They will exist on your computer separately. However, the PSE 15 Organizer should make a new catalog from the old PSE Organizer. From that point on, they exist separately and changes in one won't show up in the other.

Good luck!

You can do it either way. You might want to hang on to 7 until you feel good with 15, then delete the old one.

I juut installed 15; have been using 10. I still have 10 installed on my computer just in case, but after about two weeks I find that I am using 15 exclusively; haven't found any bugs in 15 yet but it did take a few days to get used to. I will probably uninstall 10 in the near future.

When I upgraded from PSE#3 to PSE#7, I do not remember whether I kept #3 or not. But that was a FEW years back. But, Thanks to Y'all for the help!

You will find that PSE 15 is very different from what you are used to. The interface was redesigned as of version 11.

You may have seen the thread here a couple of weeks ago that discussed this topic. If not, the best place to see what is new in PSE 15 relative to recent versions is to check the Adobe website URL below.

Also, I have written several tutorial posts on my blog regarding PSE 15 (as well as earlier versions) that you may find helpful. The URL for the post that describes some of the new features in PSE 15 is shown below.

But as someone mentioned above, the entire user interface was totally redesigned in PSE 11, so you will see big differences in both the Organizer and Photo Editor from what you are used to in PSE 7. But I think you will find it simpler to use and a hugely improved program.

I installed PSE-15 about a month ago. An upgrade from my PSE-12. It took a few days to get used to as it is quite different. Hadn't had any problems and exclusively use it. I'm sure you'll like it. Keeping PSE-12 for a while as I did with the other PSE's I had. They work separately from one another. Enjoy.

No . . . especially if you use the Organizer part of PSE 7 (if it has the Organizer) The earliest PSE I've dealt with is 9 and it had the Organizer. The Organizer is a database that keeps track of where your files are and things like keywording, ratings, etc. If you don't have or didn't use the organizing capabilities of PSE7, then it probably doesn't matter if you delete it now or later.
