I think the Fly is the most photographed insect. This is my best attempt yet.

Nice shot. I'm struggling, but having fun, with my MP-E 65, some details/hints would be appreciated (camera settings, lighting etc.)

I used a tripod with a side rail. I aligned 4 photos using Hugin, stacked the 4 using Enfuse and edited in Gimp.

Thanks.. I use Zerene, when stacking for macro. Not too expensive to start, but free upgrades. Looks like your software aligns pretty good, hard to beat Free.
