Hi All. I like to hike with my Nikon P900 for super zoom, and my Nikon D7100. In march for a trip to Yellowstone I purchased a Black Rapid Double carrier and of course I am packing now for a trip to depart on Friday and can not find my double strap. Before I try and order a new one one I am curious if anyone has any suggestions for a strap to carry two cameras, or is the Black Rapid my best choice. I need to order very quickly.

I use two Black Rapid single straps. Very flexible!

I carry a small camera bag in which I can store two cameras and I walk around with one out and the other in the bag. When I need to, I swap. I adjust the strap on the bag so that it hangs on my side at a comfortable height.

And it offers safety for the camera (or cameras) if I am in a spot that requires more attention to walking.

Michael, Check Out cotton Carrier. I use it with two cameras. Very secure system. No bouncing cameras and no strain on your shoulders or neck.

I use a small bag, slung over my shoulder, that will accomodate the two cameras. I have a wrist strap on each camera so the camera in use is secure to my hand. If I need more than the two cameras/lenses, I use my Lowe Slingshot...that is a great backpack that switches to the front for camera equipment removal.

I do exactly the same thing.
Other than for some types of high pressure photojournalism, I can't imagine why one would need immediate, instant access to both cameras at the same time.

I carry two bodies regularly and ONLY trust my OpTech Double Sling, and have used it for 8 years now. Nothing is better OR more comfortable to wear all day.

Hands down the best and most comfortable dual camera strap made is the Holdfast.

I use a spyder belt and one camera on that and carry the other in my hand. If I need the belt one, I set the other down and take the shot. Simple

I use the twin holster(?) Cotton Carrier. Not cheap, but superb. It only takes a few minutes to set up; then seconds to put on after that. I looked at as many options as I could and felt the Cotton Carrier was the best. I carry a Nikon D500 + Nikkor 300mm f4 PF VR and Olympus EM1 + Olympus 300mm F4 PRO on mine for up to 7 hours a day. Prior to that, I carried a Canon 7D mark II + Canon 300mm f2.8 L IS and a 70D + Canon 100 - 400mm f4.5/5.6L IS II. I have modified mine by sewing a D ring on the left vertical strap and attaching a piece of old woven belt and black plastic belt fastener. This enables me to carry my Sirui 204S hybrid monopod handsfree.

I use the twin holster(?) Cotton Carrier. Not chea... (show quote)

I believe the OP is looking for a 2 camera holder....According to their website "Cotton Carrier is a unique chest harness system for one camera that supports your camera eliminating the neck strain usually associated with shooting long jobs such as weddings, sports, public relations and photojournalism." Unless you want one with a holster. Which IMO kind of sucks, ya bang your arm on it all day unless you happen to be one that doesn't swing ones arms while walking... as the web photos show, you keep your hand/arm behind the holster, a bit unnatural.

I've been looking at the Cotton Carrier system, and it looks excellent. However, I cannot tell if it will be compatible with using my camera with an L-bracket, and also with using my tripod. Since I use a tripod a lot, it is important to be able to leave the L-bracket on the camera. Information on this appreciated!

I use the Black Rapid system and it works well. I am considering changing to the Op-Tech system. If you have time on your trip you might consider stopping in Billings, MT to visit with Carter (mtshooter on UHH) at the Camera Cottage. He carries the Op-Tech products and he can offer good advise on where to get good shots in Yellowstone. If nothing else contact him with a PM or check his site cameracottage.com.
