YONGNUO 50mm Lens

I have just purchased a YONGNUO 50mm Lens for my Nikon D5500. Just starting out in photography and wanted an all round lens which was good in low light and gave a nice Bokeh.

The build quality seems really good, I was expecting a really plasticky copy of the Nikon lens. However it seems to be all metal (could be plastic ,but its hard to tell) with metal connections and feels really solid. Pictures have been very good image wise, using for Portrait, street etc and all for £70 UK pounds with UV filter and Lens Hood. Purchased from Amazon.

My Observations
-Motor not to noisy (However compared to the AF-P Nikon 18-55mm kit lens which you struggle to hear, no contest)
-Focus speed good and accurate
-Focus ring smooth but a little stiff
-Has a focus window

Yongnuo has come a long way lately, I have a flash and some flash triggers, they all work great. Congrats on the lens. :)

I've read many positive reviews about the Yongnuo 50mm. If I didn't already have a 50mm lens, I'd probably buy the Yongnuo version.

I have the Canon version--I like it a lot. For $49 I consider it a steal.

I have three Yongnuo speedlites and they work great. I bought the lens in question several months back and it would not focus on any of my cameras. Sent it back and got my refund. Could have been a fluke I guess but I have moved on.

I also have the Yongnuo wide angle lens EF 35mm f/2 for my T1i canon. I like both the 50 and the 35mm. The Chinese are getting good and competitive! I was wondering when photographers would recognize the nice quality of Yonguno!
