From Universal Studios at Orlando Florida. This was another case that just screamed for a BW conversion IMO. The skies were overcast but I was able to bring out some of their detail IN PP to complement the building Gothic appearance.

I really like this and again I think the sky accentuates the building. I might have done a little work to correct the lens distortion, but that is a personal preference. Nice job on the conversion.
I think you're right about the B&W, but then I haven't seen it in colour. I recently shot a LOT of tall stuff and spent a lot of time trying to get the lens distortion corrected properly. I'm curious if others think it's that important. I think you've done a good job on the conversion.
I don't think lens correction is necessary with this image as it has a 'fantasy' feel and aim. In fact, straightening things up might well detract from that aim, and increasing the lean might even add to the effect! I've looked at some of Oscars work previously - I'd guess it was a conscious decision to leave it as is. Of course, it is a personal preference that should prevail at the end of the day - so which is it to be Oscar?
I like the lens distortion as it is, in fact I almost never really correct it when using LR.
The distortion, in my opinion, actually adds to the spooky feeling of this photo, as does the overcast sky. B&W is def. the way to go with this photo. Composure wise, this is def. the spot from which to take the photo of these buildings. However, the main cathedral seems to be cut off on the left while we get too much of a less interesting building on the right (a spire). The optimum shot would have been to shoot as is but with a wider lens, or to take that bit of framing on the right and compose that much to the left.

First, I think it's hard to make a bad image of the various rough copies of Mad Frederick's Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria. The effective component of this striking image is that the O.P. did not succumb to the supposed requirement that vertical perspective must be "corrected" to "normal" parallel vertical lines. Bushwah! The vertical linear perspective is what makes this image! It is, in fact, it's impact. The whole image is well crafted...B&w conversion and a great sky...but without the retained vertical perspective? eh.... it would have been just another "fake castle shot"
nice job!
