Beautiful bird. How close were you?
Thank you rgrenaderphoto. Probably about 40 feet.
Thank you very much Linda from Maine for looking and the kind words. As a former New Englander Maine is one of my favorite states.

You showed how beautiful that bird is. Great photo.
Thank you for looking Annie-Get-Your-Gun. I'm always happy when they show up, if only for a few months, like our wintering Hummingbirds.
Thanks Orca.
I finished my final duty station in the CG at Beach Haven. I spent a year and a half running the now closed, and dangerous Beach Haven Inlet. The only thing I see left is the 44355 sitting in a park on LBI. I lived in Tuckerton a while and worked on quite a few Egg Harbor and Pacemakers. Many years ago.

No more Jersey winters for you. Enjoy your retirement from the CG and Florida.
Excellent photo. I haven't seen one in years though they do migrate through my area.
Thanks for looking and the kind words kpmac.
I hope I can get some more opportunities with a lower ISO and reduce the graininess.
Gorgeous bird and wonderful capture!!
Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks Angela k for your comments.
I love this time of year. Everything from your part of the world stops by this part at least for a little while.
This is a really beautiful image, amatooch!
