My persistance paid off!

Thanks to those who gave me advise on selling pictures and what I needed to do to get my photos excepted.
After 12 rejections, one of them was approved. It was a female mallard duck on the bank above me that I snapped a shot of looking straight at me.
I am very excited to see even ONE of my pics get accepted, and I know I have a long way to go, but this is the first step in the right direction. You can check it out here!

I believe so, I have seen the site floated around here before, and I got the info from a photography outlet that gives tips on selling photos.
I recommend paying close attention to the guidlines and get all the advise you can before submitting any pics if you don't want any turn downs. Some sites won't work with you if you had too many rejections. I don't think this site does that as I had 12 before I got one accepted. I recommend it if you have good pics you want to sell though. Read some of the tips I got on my thread "Anyone having sucess selling their photos?" Perhaps you can avoid my pitfalls. Don't over post process your pics... They don't like it!

Thank you very much. I am definitely stoked now... LOL Even if it never gives me any real money, the recognition is also nice. If it helps me and my wife be able to go out to dinner occasionally, that's nice too. :-)

Very well done Perry i know what it feels like i have written a book and after only the second submission it was published so i was stoacked.

Wow, congratulations on your book. Did you have a hard time getting to sleep the night you got the news too? :lol:
Even if my pictures only pay my monthly Best Buy card (my camera investment), it's going to be a plus. What's nice is that I still own the picture and I can sell the image to other companies.
