has anyone purchased a user manual for the canon 6d and if so....could you recommend one?
I bought Canon EOS 6D Digital Field Guide by Michael Corsentino published by Wiley.
Found it readable and fairly easy to follow, suited me.
David Busch's "Canon EOS 6D". Refer to it often. Got it Barns and Noble. Sure you can find it online.
David Busch's is great. Look up Rockwell's setting up the 6D.
I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have. I just gave my 8D and Mama a long week end at GT/Tetons. It did great.

I have David Busch's Canon 6D book and no longer have the 6D. If you are interested I could pop it in the mail for you. (as long as you are in the lower 48)

I have used David Busch's books for my 60D, my 6D, and my G-15. I have been satisfied with them. You can also try the For Dummies book (if they make one for the 6D).

Go on line and download a manual for the 6D on the Canon site. Also I use the Busch text on the 6D and really like it.
Yes, I received a complete User's Manual with my camera, when I orchard it almost two years ago from B&H Photo. It is also available in PDF form, free from Canon. The PDF had many advantages over the hard copy However I still carry the hard copy in my camera bag and occasionally refer to it.
japamom,
I thank you much for your response and offer to sent David Busch's Canon 6d manual. I'm sorry it has taken so long to get back with you,.....sometimes personal problems keep us from doing what we want and need to do.
