Here are some of my pictures of the super moon last night.
Camera is a Nikon D5500. First picture was with the Nikkor lens and a 2X converter with auto focus. The next 3 were taken with the same camera, but I used my Tokina 400 mm lens from my Pentax film cameras. I used a Kiron 2X converter on the lens, then a Fotodiox to go from Pentax mount to Nikon mojnt, and then the Tamron 2X converter for Nikon. They rig was mounted on a tripod for the shots. All shots with the Pentax lens were manual focus. They did look better on the camera screen than they did on the big screen.

same pictures of the moon seen millions of times. nothing in them to show "super" anything. you have to have a foreground object to show size relativity. these shots can be taken anytime, anyplace.

Your right. It didn't look super to me when I was taking them. I was more experimenting with the lens combo. Unfortunately where I was there was no background to show contrast.

I have to agree with you. I took a few pictures of the "super" moon but didn't bother posting them since they weren't anything special. However, I have to say Fatford's moon photos are a whole lot better than any pictures I can find that you have ever posted on this website.
