I was a little late getting into the Illini Basketball game last night, but I'm glad I stayed outside for a while. As someone else posted here, shooting the super moon the evening before gives you some light to help with foregrounds. In this case it is the flying saucer shaped roof of the State Farm Center arena, home of the Fighting Illini.
FYI, the Assembly Hall at University of Illinois was and is a unique structure in that the roof is self-supporting poured concrete dome. The dome is supported by over 600 miles of high tension wire wrapped 2600 times around the 400 ft. diameter rim.
Another of my photos was published today on the Champaign News-Gazette website. I don't know if it will make the actual paper or not. I'd post the link, but I don't think that is allowed in this section.
