Will buy if 3 pin tape is explained and does not affect lens performance...AF, etc.

Cheineck, I am glad you are going to buy it. I was going to grab it but am also interested in the tape, so you saved me stretching my budget way to far.

To maintain auto focus on the canon 100-400 lens you must tape the first three pins.this fools the camera in some way. It works but you must use spot focus,shoot at f/8 or higher and have good light. The converter has been sold. Here is a image taken with the 1.4 converter.

Glad you sold it you just had me intrigued as to why and since I'm still a working fool and driving all day I tend not to get on Google too much to search for things but thank you for the explanation I learned something
