You have such wonderful photos of eagles and now you are expanding to ducks. Great shot. The detail on the bird is fantastic. Thanks for letting me see your photo.

The water reflections were the main reason I posted this shot, because it was a little different
from other photos. The Mallard Duck was in the right place and time.

I thank you very much, Flyerace, for your good reply.

excellent,Regis. I love how the duck's brighter colors are in sharp contrast to the reeds behind him. Really makes him prominent. I love the squiggles of the reed reflections!

Today was a mostly sunny day when I took this photo of a Mallard Duck that was about 60-75 feet away.
I used 560mm.

Canon 5Dsr - Canon 100-400 II - Canon 1.4x III - 1/500 - f/11 - ISO @ 640.

That mallard just pops right out of the reeds. It's a rather unique shot. I'd give it a blue ribbon if we had a br smiley. Your work is
tops, Regis.

This is a different type of water reflections with just enough of a small wave to break up the parallel reed patterns
to give it some distinction from the ordinary. Luckily, the Mallard Duck was in focus with it's pretty colors. If I had waited
5 seconds longer, this capture wouldn't have looked as good. A little bit of luck on my timing here.

I thank you very much, Carly Sue, for your great in-depth analysis.
