Trouble with PSE 14vs 15

I'm trying to download PSE 14 to a new computer. No problem. But when I try to open PSE I get blocked by being forced to try PSE 15. I ended up downloading 15 as a trial, and I still can't access 14. Also, when I downloaded all my To[azz plug-ins they didn't go to PSE as requested. Maybe Adobe is blocking everything, pushing really hard for a 15 upgrade. I'm ready to dump the whole works, let Adobe live by itself. Maybe another program that will host my Topaz programs.

Recently I have also been getting a window to encourage me to buy PSE15, beneath that window are the usual PSE14 options of opening Editor etc. and when I choose one I can close the advertising part of the window and all is normal. They are also offering a free update to 14.1 which I have now downloaded and all appears to be OK.

Yes, every time I open PSE 14 from the desktop icon, I get a pop-up on top of the PSE14 opening screen. Just click on the X in the top right, then click Editor on the PSE14 screen.
That's it.
If I select photo(s) to edit before opening PSE 14, I simply right-click and select "Open with" - PSE 14 will then open with the photo already loaded.

I didn't see the X in the corner....doesn't mean it's not there. Also, thanks for the tip of selecting the files, right click...etc. Will sure try that. djt
