I have a Sony AR7II and I want to have the camera cleaned and serviced. Has anyone ever used Sony to service their camera and if so where did you send it and what did they charge. I live in NY.
A friend who owns a Sony camera sent his camera to Precision Camera Repair. But not for cleaning. Is your camera so dirty that you can't clean it yourself. A rocket blower and a good sensor cleaner kit with fluid and swabs usually works. However, you didn't say if your Sony a7r2 had other problems other than a cleaning need. I suppose servicing means you want the camera checked to see if everything is in good working order. I've never sent in a camera for just cleaning and servicing. Only when needing a repair.

Tempe camera. Tempe, AZ. The best.
Sony Repair & clean up
I have Ilse 7RII as well a7II, I did send mine to the Precisioncamera, for a7II repair, like it said here, good "pro" company.
Clean, I think they do that as well, if not they will know. As well if you area has specialty camera store ( Showcase, by Atlanta) they should have cleaning service.
If you area close in to bigger city there is camera club, photo competition day between area clubs more than likely have camera & equipment manufacturer rep. companies they will offer cleanup. Price runs $30-40.00 per camera.
Many camera owner's are scare to clean camera's, don't be. Go to YouTube and learn from there how it is done.

HI there if it's out of warranty beware that SONY charges a lot to do service and repair work, in years past I had to deal with them but not any more. find some other camera Center to do the service.
I recently had a dropped lens and a weirdly dirty sensor (6300) taken care at precision camera in enfield ct. about one month apart. On both occasions the turnaround was 6 days door to door using regular shipping. They are the best! And there was no charge for cleaning the sensor. I sent it off at the suggestion of a local camera shop. I couldn't get the smudges off(cause unknown) and neither could they. But Precision took care of it very well.
In my experience, there is only one factory authorized service facility for Sony cameras in North America. Good news for you: it's located in Connecticut. Bad news for all Sony users: the shop is incompetent. I sent my a77 there. It came back repaired for the issue I originally wanted repaired. But when it came back it would no longer reliably autofocus. I returned it for this newly installed defect 3 or 4 times. They couldn't fix it. Had to sell the camera for parts and buy a new camera. Better believe it wasn't a Sony. Proceed with caution, and be careful about getting any Sony serviced in North America.
