Carla, another beautiful still life and am I seeing a texture layer and did you use a mirror or plexi?
You go girl!!!
Good morning Angela (or are you sleeping in with hubby gone!) Thank you for your encouragement as always. I used a tad of Topaz detail to help with the shadows and that is a dark plexiglass 12x12 in that I picked up at Mennards or Home Depot.

Beautifully composed, terrific lighting. Love the rich, dark colors of this one, Carla.
Thank you so much,Linda. Your encouragement is always a plus to me. You can't beat the complementary colors of blue and orange to add richness to a scene.

Nice!!! And very appropriate for the season. Great job, Carla! Those hips are very high in vitamin C, and make both tasty jellies and teas.
I appreciate your encouragement as always,TP. I would have no idea how to get that little berry thing into something that would be edible. Altho' this time of year it would be good to load up on Vitamin C. Perhaps I should send a boxful to your Ministry and let them concoct?

And if anyone could arrange them to look like a painted masterpiece, it would be you, Carla. Beautiful work!!!
AWWww. Donna, that it so kind. If you only knew how many times I put together and take apart, add, subtract and redo! But that is the beauty of still life, these things were already pretty dead and weren't going anywhere

LOL.... you make me laugh, Carla!! Me sleep in.... no way, not with 5 cats jumping on my head and bed and Buster waiting patiently!!
Thanks for the info on the dark plexi... I will need to check out Home Depot or Lowes to see if they have any. I bought a cheap poster frame and took it apart, it's good for now until I find something else to use.
Enjoy your day.... rainy, cold and damp here :(

Beautiful shot with an old time (circa 1920's?) feel to it combined with elegance. Lovely.
I appreciate you saying that so much, frack. Thank you. Its kind of fun to make something lovely from something past prime, shriveled up and tossed.

Beautifully composed shot, Carly. Looks like a painting.
Jane
What a wonderful thing to say,Jane. I truly appreciate that. I confess I had not caught your images in the past so took the time to look back. You have a lot creativity in your images, all well taken and artfully composed. It was a joy for me to take a look.

Artfully lit and enhanced with reflection. Well done.
I am encouraged and appreciate your comments,Charmdragon. Thank you. I reviewed your work as well. I like to see what those who comment do in their own work. You don't post a lot but when you do, you knock it out of the park!
Lovely painting-kind-of-look to this one Carlysue!! It all looks perfect and love the saturated colors!!

A beautiful shot, Carlysue! I really like the composition.

I always appreciate your thoughts, rlaugh, as your work is so inspiring to me. Have a great trip, with no guilt for leaving the ice and wind and gray days behind.

Excellent work Carlysue.
thank you,Angler! Your opinion is truly of value to me altho' this is much easier to do than photographing your sweet bird friends. My stuff never moves.
