Requiem To The Attic: As a child I relished the time I could spend rummaging my grandparents attic. It was a source of wonderment. It has now been 720 hours (30 days, 1 month, 4 weeks...

As a child I relished the time I could spend rummaging my grandparents attic. It was a source of wonderment.

It has now been 720 hours (30 days, 1 month, 4 weeks etc) since I have visited the Attic of UHH. Oh what a joy, how refreshing, how liberating, how enlightening, how fulfilling it is to have that hour each day, sometimes 2, spent in UHH's attic, invested instead in life and its true pleasures.

However as in all aspects of life there are tradeoffs. I feel somewhat, just a twinge, irresponsible. Not often mind you but it does occasionally occur to me that I have in a way, become negligent in celebrating the abandonment of those still volunteering enslavement in the attic.

Although I have always strived for balance in life and devotion to friends and family, my wife, children, grandchildren and even our dog Boomer, I came to realize that the most futile and unfulfilling times in my life were those dawdled away, to no productive end, in the Attic. Were I a believer in an almighty, I would thank it for my liberation, however lacking such I congratulate instead, myself. Congratulations Croce!

Concomitantly, I wish to sincerely appologize to those whose efforts I will be no longer here to support.

Philip Nagy, whom I once pilloried and whom I perhaps unfairly, punished just for the mean pleasure of doing so, I now embrace as a decent man. I feel many of his positions are contradictory and abhor his politics believing them harmful to our wellbeing as a nation. Despite this, I have come to respect Philip Nagy as a person and have lost my will to denigrate him. Why? Simply because I know his intentions are admirable and his humanity genuine. Though I feel he is terribly misguided I apologize for my rapacious denunciations and wish him happiness.

Dirtpusher, that pathetic, wretched troll, entrapped by infirmity or confined by prison walls or committed to asylum. He who obviously is denied the comfort of close love and affection, has only the hog as his refuge. 10 or 12 hours a day he posts his snippets from Politicus standing firm in his support of she, the mendacious one. Demented though he be, I feel only pity for him believing there must some meaningful purpose for his existence despite his inability to demonstrate beyond imbecility.

Of course I must acknowledge those totally worthless and devoid of any meaningful explanation for presence on the planet: Keenan, Twatlow, mwalsh, Nakkh, dljen, and others. As they say in Mexico, "Adios, hijos de puta madre."

And in special categtory: Racman the Delusional Believer of Vapor, in a class of his own among racists.

Of course there are the good: Screamin Scott, checkmate, ken hubert, Soba, Blurryeyed, hondo, wilpharm, pounder, Jakebrake, usnpilot, richosob, Wellheim, Flying Tiger, Robert Graybeal, and a host of other good and solid people too numerous to mention.

Thank you all, good and bad alike, for the experience. Though not abandoning the entire UHH forum, I will not be revisiting the Attic. If you have something to say to me, good or bad there is always the PM.
