I own the Lumix FZ1000 and it is a great camera once you get used to using it. The IQ is extremely good. I have not used it all that much as I also own a Canon 7D . I bought the Lumix1000 when I travel or when I do not want to lug around a heavy DSLR with several lenses. I took some pictures of a species of duck called Wooden Duck which is very colorful with both the FZ1000 and my Canon 7D with the 70-200 mm lens. Photos with both cameras were great but the detail and coloration of the duck photo taken with the FZ1000 was outstanding and surpassed photos of the duck taken with my Canon 7D in my opinion. I cannot speak of the Sony A6000 but checking the specs of both cameras it looks like you get more bang for your buck with the Sony A6000 as the Sony has a 24.3 mp sensor vs 20.1 mp for the Panasonic FZ1000. The Sony is also lighter and has more dynamic range. That said a well know camera store in Vancouver considered the FZ1000 their flagship bridge camera.
