Braina ...

BLUF: Does anyone in UHH land have experience with “Braina” (or something like it) … ?

I recently had a hard drive failure on my desktop computer … everything was backed-up so all is well with my pictures, etc., and I have a subscription to PhotoShop and MS Office … the only thing I lost was time and Windows 10. The recovery disk for my computer had Windows 8 … so, I am now using Windows 8.1.

The one thing that I miss from Windows 10 is “Cortana”! It seems that “Cortana” only works with Windows 10. I found a program called “Braina” from BrainaSoft which states that it “is an Artificial Intelligence(AI) software that performs many tasks when asked in natural language and serves as a virtual assistant that helps you perform various operations quickly” … i.e., like “Cortana”.

Has anyone tried “Braina” and can recommend it or can anyone recommend an alternate program?

Thanks,

Bob S

Don't know about Braina, but I've heard Braino prevents brain farts.

Any relation to Draino?

EDIT: A somewhat related comment - Looking a key finders, reviews say that they generally cannot find the key for Win10. I used two different ones and got the same result, though. Of course, I don't know if those results are accurate. Going to Settings > About doesn't show the key for Win10.

The only place I use Cortana is with my cellphone. I've tried and used both Windows 8.1 and 10 for Mobile and I prefer 8.1 on my Micro$oft cellphone (smartphone). It's interesting how many people have Siri and have never even use it. Occasionally I'll demonstrate Cortana for someone and they sure get a kick out of it! I have family who own iPhones and Androids, but they have never fully utilized all the capabilities.
