I have lost track of the number of times that the eyecup on my D750 has come off my camera. Most often it occurs when I put the camera back in the bag. It's a minor miracle that I have not lost it yet. I have not had this problem with any of my other cameras.

Have any other D750 users experienced this and come up with a solution?

Common problem with ANY of the multitude of cameras with those slip-off eye pieces. One of the reasons to move to Nikon's Pro bodies which don't use them. At least they are cheap to replace.

I also have had this problem. One replacement that I purchased as a backup was also loose until I put some gaffers tape on the back, now it is a nice snug fit. I cut a piece the size of the eye piece and trimmed it to fit the back. I lost the original, when it fell off at the zoo. Since then I have purchased another backup from Amazon and it is much tighter.

Thank you. I had considered tape, and since you had success, I will give it a try.

Yes, I have a perfect solution.

I also have a D750, and also had the same problem. Thank goodness I have a local camera store here in Western Massachusetts. I went there to pick up a few extra Nikon "eye-cups" (knowing that eventually I would loose it) and while I was there, they showed me a Hoodman eye-cup made just for the Nikon. It was a bit of a task slipping it on ... took about a minute ... and I love it. It stays on securely. Snugs the eye well. Could be removed with a little careful effort (it's rubber), and it is far superior to the klinky dink eye-cup that came with the D750.

Hoodman makes two Nikon eye-cups ... one for square eyepieces and one for round eyepieces. The D750 takes the one for square eyepieces. They are only $20.

Here is a link. Take a look.

I use the Hoodman eyepiece on my d7200 and prefer it to the original. They really work well if you ware glasses like I do.

Mine slipped off when I first had the camera. I bought another, then found the original in tall grass against all odds when not even looking for it. Now since I have two, the original has not come off again. Way it goes -- at least it was cheap.

Interesting. But I notice on their compatibility chart they claim that the LCD must remain closed when used on the 750.

Not a problem with the d7200 as the LCD screen is fixed but it does protrude on the upper part of the screen so I can imagine that it would interfere with the LCD mechanism on the d750.

As much as I like my 'flippy' LCD, because of the focusing problems with it, I rarely use it. But I do use it. I simply with a quick twist rotate rotate the eye-cup perpendicular and open the screen. It is true that the eye-piece will cover a bit of the LCD and if the flippy is totally horizontal, it covers more.

But I find it totally usable. And the eye-cup is so very superior to the Nikon ... not only because it stays on, but also because it truly cups the eye with firm but soft rubber, making the focusing experience a pleasure rather than a squinting task.

If I cannot 'Macguyver' a solution, I'll check it out. Another personal concern is that the cause of the problem when putting the camera in my bag is that the bag is a bit tight to begin with. I suspect that the larger eyecup might get misshapen over time.

Mine did the same thing, I put a dab of rubber cement in the eye cup groove with a toothpick and a dab on the ridge of the camera...let them both dry, put the eye cup back on....hasn't come off since.

Another clever idea. Thanks.

I lost mine on a recent trip to VT. I carry my D750 with a cross the shoulder strap and as I walked through a field, the eyecup must have fallen off. I ordered more from Amazon. Thanks for all the tips. I'll have to try some of them to secure it this time.
