I'd be interested in hearing the early experiences of any UHH members who are using On1 Photo RAW as a plug-in to Lightroom. I currently have On1 Photo 10, and use it occasionally. Does On1 Photo RAW play well with Lightroom? Is the upgrade ($80) worth it? What are the main feature gains? Is the workflow complicated? Do you think On1 can eventually replace LR? I note on On1's site, there's a Q&A where Dan Harlacher says that in early 2017, On1 will have a full LR conversion tool.

Looking at the videos in the emails I have received, it appears to be much faster than On1 10.5 version, and it has more features as well. Undecided whether to upgrade to it myself when it is released in November.

It's not out yet. But 10.5 is tightly integrated with LR, and works great as a stand alone. Only burp is the file browser, which uses a raw interpreter that internally changes raw display properties, resulting in a much brighter and often washed out looking full size preview. I have been assured that this will no longer be an issue, now that they will have full control over raw preview and conversion process.
