Double Exposure or Super Imposing

I have a new (used) Leica V-Lux4 and also a Canon S110 P&S, and I cannot figure out how to superimpose one photo on top of another.
With my old film Minolta I could do it easily, and would like to do some creative photography using that technique. Does anyone ave any suggestions or knowledge of where to go to find out how this is done?

Some camera have the feature built in (use the manual)

A more accurate method is to use Post Processing. If you use PS CC advanced layer blending is one way to go (among many others).

Unfortunately not all DSLRs can do multi-exposure. If you don't have the manual I'd suggest a trip to their respective websites for more information.

Nothing in the manual for either camera, so I'm afraid it can't be done in-camera.
But it can definitely be done with software.
I use Photoshop Elements and from time to time I will make a scrapbook page with multiple exposure.
There are other programs available as well, some for free.

I did one recently and posted here-

If that's what you want and you have Photoshop or Elements then PM me and I will talk you through it. You need to be up to speed with layers layer masks and blend modes as a minimum

Probably easier and much more creative control to do it in the software (at least for me). Back in the day, I did some in-camera double exposure experimentation and was never satisfied. I occasionally blend two images to get a more satisfying total image using my software.

I have used the software method of double exposure for my scrapbooking: The most recent one was a photo of a number of baby toys, enlarged to almost cover the scrapbook page, transparency set at 60%. Then superimposed a photo of the baby, with only 10% transparency so that the toys were just visible through his clothes. I erased the part of the toy photo behind his face altogether. His Mom was tickled pink with the result and eventually the boy will get the scrapbook with that page in it.

Tom, I know your S110 will not do it, but you can do it in post processing. Here is an example. I took the harvest moon and then added the grey owl in Photoshop.

Thank You all: Rongnongno, Morning Star, Billyspad, Jerryc41, Cambriaman, and WF2B.

I will first look at the Manual mode to see if it's there (doubtful), then try one of the sites Jerryc41 suggested to get instructions on Post Processing.

I really appreciate your responses. And, WF2B, that is a great shot of the grey owl and the moon.
