I decided to try some low key photography. My 2 bird dogs were semi-cooperative. I realize dogs with a lot of white are probably not the best candidates but my wife won't let me have any more dogs for now. She won't let me buy that 300mm f2.8 lens either. Some women are unreasonable. I hope you enjoy.

It took a lot of pieces of summer sausage to keep them on the table.

Great dog shots sterrill, I have a brown lab that's tough to photograph also. Now you just need to get your wife to be semi-cooperative also, perhaps a diamond ring, luxury cruise or a new Mercades might work. chase

Excellent work, sterrill. Enough white to give their color separation. #3 is a particularly good portrait. What are their names?

Good shots and great dogs. I've had more problems photographing black and Landseer Newfoundlands and Labs than with white dogs or black & white like my current Lab mix and my recently demised Border Collie mix.

My avatar is my black Puggle (Pug/Beagle mix). No trouble on distant shots; just difficult with close-ups. Trouble getting good details. You did a great job on your dogs.
