For those that didn't get to see the eclipse, here's what it looked like from San Diego. There is what appears to be a small sun spot just to right of center, and no it's not dust on my lens. It appeared in the same place on the sun in all my photos no matter what area of the frame the sun was in.
Nice. Where did you shoot from?
Thought about making the hike myself. Either there or Black Mountain. Did you shoot through your scope?

No. Although I wanted to, it's to much equipment( scope, mount, tripod, counterweights + camera equipment) for one person to haul up the hill in a single trip.
Nice catch. What filter did you use, was it a solar filter?

I used the mylar coated aluminum solar filter from my telescope hand held in front of the lens of the camera.
My "not quite up to my standards" rig for shooting the eclipse also showed sunspots.
