Guys and Gals, I am still using PSE7, and have just seen an ad for PSE 15. Rather than drag this out with a long discussion that will probably bore most of y'all, is there a site that I can go to that will compare the recent PSE's available ? Thanks for any help.
I was in Charleston and Savannah last week, and headed for St. Augustine , when the Hurricane took a turn inland. Managed to get out of Savannah and get home with little difficult. But I was lucky enough to find the Perfect Mint Julep in Savannah. I am pretty sure the area along Water St., (att. photo)in Savannah is flooded.

Download a free trial sample of Elements 15 and try it out. I tried a trial of Photoshop and Lightroom CC and would not go back to Elements even if it were free. I bought Elements 12 and Lightroom 6 in the beginning. I don't know how much you enjoy using and learning photography software but I find it very interesting and entertaining. Elements 15 is a major upgrade and is a very good program and many people are completely satisfied with it. You can find videos on YouTube showing any of the software and how it works.

Well, retiredsgt, you could start at Adobe's own website:
There is a page (I think it's called "what to buy") giving you a listing of what version has what features.
Of course, you can also download the trial from the same website.
Don't be in too big a hurry to buy PSE15, I expect that around Black Friday it will be offered by several stores for about $50 - IF they stick with the tradition that started about 5 or so years ago.

Last year (or two years ago!) there was a low price contest between B&H, Amazon and others for about 3 days. The price went up and down several times. I missed the low spot, but bought within $10 of it.

Sometimes the best deal is the combined version of Photoshop Elements and Premier Elements. Premier Elements is very good at videos, but also wonderful for slideshows intended for viewing on TV screens.

Thanks Morning Star and bsprague for your help. I am not in all that big of a hurry, but after looking at my recent shots with my Nikon P900, I was wondering if I shouldn't move up a little from PSE7 . I Shall take my time, though.

You're more than welcome!
One additional item I usually mention with PSE and forgot it this time:
With PSE I have purchased a plug-in program called Elements +.
It's cost is $12 and it opens a number of the capabilities that PS has but PSE does not.
You can find more info here: http://simplephotoshop.com/elementsplus/index.htm
There is a free trial available as well, but it will only give you a couple of the features.
Also, you have to be careful to order the same version as your version of PSE, otherwise it won't work at all.
I also find the "how-to" for Elements+ very good, here:

I've been using Elements for more than ten years upgrading every other year. Don't waste your time comparing the versions. So much has happened, go out and buy it and spend your time on the learning curve of all the features you are missing. You won't be sorry.

Last year I went from PSE9 to 14; at first I regretted my decision, but as I became more familiar with PSE 14, I'm glad I updated. I will not update to 15 this year. In three or four years I'll update to 17 or 18.
