In canon learning center with Rudy Winston he says that the flicker control will work only with 100 or 120 Hz. well in the USA we have 60 Hz . Am I missing something or does canon put all selling points out there even if you cannot use it In the states.

60 Hz power flickers at 120 pulses per second.

Wow thank you for waking my brain up, the thing that threw me is that Winston in the video says 100 and 120 Hz! It's Me not thinking it through 😱😱 sorry everyone for my blunder . Thanks apaflo.

As long as you have the anti-flicker feature turned on the camera will indicate when it detects and is compensating for flicker. Not all lighting produces flicker, but most of what you will encounter does. As apaflo pointed out, the numbers can be a bit deceptive. Better to ask and be sure.
Was playing with the flicker control feature on Saturday at the camera store. It works on the 7DII. I think it is a good feature...

I use it a lot on fast action, low light indoor photos. It works great, especially with fluorescent light. In the past, I would shoot a burst of 6-8 and one or two would be partially dark or yellowish. Problem corrected with the 7DII and flicker control. As mentioned above the camera indicates in the viewfinder when the camera detects and is compensating.
AC power in the U.S. has a frequency of 60 Hertz....
"AC" = "Alternating Current". Voltage cycles from +120 volts to -120 volts 60 times per second and is at 0 volts twice per cycle. That's why fluorescent bulbs "flicker" at 120 Hertz in the U.S. (100 Hertz in Europe and some other parts of the world.)
"Flicker Free" mode on the 7DII works great! (I think the 80D, T6i, T6s and 5D Mark IV also have it.)
I believe the 1Dx Mk II has it also. It's a great feature for those shooting indoor sports especially.
