One excellent work Mr. Smith.
Oh my, a visual feast! Spectacular impact with the pp, but even if was a bit less showy, I could find great interest in the perspective, lines of the subjects, reflections.

Who says you can't put the subject directly in the middle of the composition. This works just fine for me. Great sky, wonderful colors in the boats. Excellent photo.

I like everything about this except the HDR, which I find a little to strong. Just my personal opinion so I imagine toned down a little then I enjoy it more!

No HDR was used John, it was a single image with adjustments made in NIK, but I'm inclined to agree with you.

Yes, just a wee bit over cooked but one heck of an image. I'd hang it on my wall.
Beautiful and yet sad to me. I love old wooden boats and the stories they could tell.
Its a dramatic scene, ominous sky, desolate and chilling. I think that calls for dramatic, dynamic processing. I find this mesmerizing. What a treat!

Great subject, great point of view and great composition. I just think you NIKed it a bit too enthusiastically.
Cheers, Don

I usually don't comment unless a picture gets me to look at it more than a few seconds, this one did.
Powerful Scene. Old ships decaying under the ominous sky. Just enough foreground to help balance the scene.
One of your bests shots Graham.
