Very, very nice! I love the open expanse and feeling of being the only ones there. Bet you had a great time.

Hi, smashing shots of my area, I have never been there but have been to Donna Nook for the seals.Love your area as well, went by on Friday as I take my wife to Addenbrookes a couple of times a year. Looked at your posts and Houghton Mill is another spot Iv been to a lot, I remember camping there around 40 years ago, Thanks for reminding me of some happy memories.

Thanks for viewing Linda, yes it is very quiet this time of year. I used my Canon 10-18mm lens with an EOS7D body.

I think you are right about Tommy our dog, he loves it here and always looks sad when we pack up the car for the journey home. Having said that he woke us at 2am the day we returned, there must have been a fox prowling around the cottage where we stay. He was very thorough checking every bush and the driveway. By the time I got him back indoors I must have been awake most of the night so feel shattered this evening.

That's interesting Bigal, we went to Donna Nook about 2 years ago and I got some really nice pics of the pups, its very cold on the beach that time of year and I almost ended up singing soprano - if you get my drift....I moved to St Ives from Yorkshire in 1975, Oct 4th to be precise and I really like it here. Tommy our dog loves swimming in the river at Houghton, just over the lock turn left there is a nice part he can jump in and retrieve the sticks we throw in.

Hello Donna, really good to hear from you again. I was going to send you a message but you beat me to it!. We only returned this afternoon and I was feeling really tired as Tommy got me up in the middle of the night as there must have been a fox prowling around. He inspected the garden very thoroughly but it must have crept away. I had trouble getting back to sleep afterwards and then a long drive home this morning. Hope you are keeping well?

All is well here, Graham, thank you! Did Tommy enjoy his holiday? When you've rested up a bit, I hope you'll post more of your beautiful pictures.
