Went to Alaska again last month. Although it didn't meet my photographic hopes I did get a few shots that I will share. This guy was right along the road to Tok.

Looks great from here! I think it posed for you...
We saw a cub or 2 year old, yearling along that road, but about 60 miles east of the Canadian border, 2 years ago. My wife wouldn't put down her window to take a better shot of it, or touch it, lol.

That is the best photo of a Grizzly that I have seen in a long time. Congratulations...Crisp, well composed capture of a mature Grizz.

We drove our RV on one of our trips to Alaska...went up the Casiar Hwy. going and came back the Alaskan Hwy. returning, never saw a Grizz. Only ones I saw were when I was hunting in the Alaska Range...Got a gorgeous Dall Ram, huge moose and nice caribou on that trip so Im not complaining! Could have got a Grizz and Wolverine on that trip but passed.

Reading this morning about a Montana guy that got chewed up by one yesterday refreshes how stupid I and a half dozen other people were when taking this shot. Even though I used a 200-500 it wasn't maxed out because I was too close. This isn't cropped.

Fortunately this guy was absorbed with digging up stuff to eat so couldn't have cared less about the people above him on the road. Had to wait for him to lift his head and face us. We all backed off when he took notice!

A mom with cubs, as chewed on the Montana guy, is a whole different matter.

Nice looking frizz. He's a big boy, too. Good capture. As many times as I've driven through there, or ridden my motorcycle through there, I've never seen a bear there.
