It's no wonder why people don't evacuate in time.

That is about right, and they have the gall to tell you that they can predict what the earth's climate will be in 50 years!

That's hilarious, but the last hurricane that hit FL a few weeks ago took the exact path that they forecasted. The key is to keep up with the updates!

At this point you are sure to believe everything they say about global warming.

Who cares, just get out if you are in the high risk areas.

Surely that prediction is not that helpful but the Weather Channel has been very accurate in their predictions and we have been paying close attention to what they have to say.
Anyway, here in Florida we are as ready as we can be.

My brother lives in Daytona Beach. He was going to try and ride it out but made a much wiser choice today by moving a lot further inland.
I have another brother living near Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. He said he spent about five hours sand bagging yesterday.

Keeping my fingers crossed for everybody along the coast.

Yup and that is about the state of the current forecasts! Seriously though, I live a few miles from the beaches near the intracoastal waterway and I may have to board up our sliding glass doors. Usually these hurricanes appear headed for a direct hit but at the last minute veer out to sea and bounce up into Georgia and the Carolinas. We are not in a flood zone but we have a number of water oak trees around our house that could pose a problem. Keeping our fingers crossed.

We're just now getting the first bands of rain and gusty winds in central Florida. Looks like we'll get some 3.5 - 5 inches of rain and some gusts in the 60mph range when the storm gets nearer starting around 2 A.M. tomorrow morning. Should be outa here by Saturday.
