I saw a u-tube video on how to copy the tether capture file from lightroom 5 and paste it in lightroom 4 . That made lightroom 4 able to tether capture on the nikon d600 that i own as well as others. It cannot tether the d600 without those files. The video demonstrated the transfer on a mac pc...i tried it on my windows pc but couldnt get it to work. Has anyone tried this on a windows pc? Is there a link out there to go to to try this? I wanted to upgrade to lightroom5 but just because it will tether with my d600. If I can get this to work I will not have to purchase lightroom 5...any thoughts photo friends.

I saw a u-tube video on how to copy the tether cap... (show quote)

Why would you want to go from Lightroom 5 to Lightroom 4; it's a down grade in ability to process your photos?

I do not own lightroom 5 but i do own lightroom 4. I have a nikon d600 but it will not tether with lightroom 4. you have to have to have lightroom 5 or better to tether the d600. The video i mentioned shows how you can download the free version of lightroom 5 and then copy and paste the needed files to lightroom 4 so it will tether newer cameras. Otherwise i will have to purchase lightroom 5 or 6 which i was trying to avoid until i really need it. Thanks for your response
