Please look at and comment or critique the attached photos. Please note the equipment is limited to a Nikon 810 and Nikon 200-500 f5.6 for baseball and Nikon 70-200 2.8. So the football shots are limited to relatively close action. I realize I would be better off shooting with a D5 and Nikon 300f2.8 or Nikon 400 f2.8, but that's not what I have.

All comments positive or negative are greatly appreciated.

The first and second baseball shots look a tad over exposed, other than that, they are fine sports shots. Everybody would love to shoot sports with a D4 or D5 but there's nothing wrong shooting sports with a D810.

It's not exposure, color or contrast that is problematic to me. It's composition. The shots are boring. That's my 2 cents.

Thanks Jim.

Are they boring because of the subject...sports?

No. Because there is nothing interesting in the perspectives from which you shot. For example in the kicking shot, the photo may have been more appealing if you caught the ball leaving the foot. Just a suggestion. Even mundane sporting events can be captured from an interesting perspective.

You gotta be kidding. It would have been even more interesting if the kicker swung his leg and missed the ball altogether... Or maybe if he accidently kicked the spotter in the head...Just a suggestion.
