If you intend to share your frame online and not print it, a capture of a single frame works fine. Most video editing programs can do frame captures, even free ones, like MS Movie Maker.

I just discovered that PSE15 has LOST the ability to merge panoramic photos! That is just astonishing to me that Adobe has taken functionality OUT of an "upgrade". I just don't understand Adobe!

I didn't buy PSE15, this is my "skip-it" year.
As far as I remember in earlier (than 14) versions the panorama merge was under "File" in the menu line.
In my version 14 it is found under "Guided", Photomerge; you are then presented with six scenarios how photos may be merged, the last one of them is Panorama Merge.
You might want to check if this is so in PSE 15 as well.

Yep! Just found it on the "Guided" Mode. I just don't understand the thinking behind this sort of move. But at least it is still there.

Does PSE 15 have the content aware feature?

I just got PSE 15 to replace the old Picassa and am disappointed. First is really slow going from the Organizer to the Editor or from Editor to print. I find it very awkward to work with. Is it me or what am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Have you worked with PSE before?
If not, it is like any other software: You need to get to know it and get used to it.
While I have never worked with Picasa, I understand it was very easy to work with, and quite intuitive.
PSE is intuitive in some areas, not so much in others.
I've never used the Organizer as I had already set up my own filing system before I started to use PSE with version 7. As to printing, I don't do my own printing either, as most of my photos end up on scrapbook pages that I send out to have printed into books.
Over the years I have tried several other software packages for my photo editing, but always returned to PSE in fairly short order.

My suggestion would be to download the manual for PSE <https://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/photoshop-elements_reference.pdf> Don't read the manual in one sitting :-) it will drive you nuts. Rather, use it as a reference book for PSE. By downloading it to your computer, tablet or smartphone, it will be easy to do searches on keywords.
I think that as you become more familiar with the program, the awkwardness will disappear.

Picasa was a lightweight product with few features intended for those with limited requirements and who didn't want to spend time learning how to use software. As a result it was easy to learn and easy to use. PSE 15 has over 90% of the features of Photoshop. It is probably 20 times as feature rich as Picasa and as such the learning curve is much steeper. There are a few modes to help you including a Quick mode, a Guided mode, and the Expert mode for those interested in using all the power that PSE 15 has to offer. You are not going to understand how to use it well without either viewing online videos or reading about the features. Unlike Picasa, this is real image software. It will take a lot more effort to master. Sorry.

Thank you Morning Star and mwsilvers for your advice.
I have worked with heavy applications in the past but I believe PSE workflow is very cumbersome.
