For those following the Head Shot images of Caylee I first posted this past Thursday at http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-414454-1.html#6971122, I believe, here is #3 in a different outfit with a different background. FYC. Thanks.

Best Regards,
Tom

Tom, I was just going to leave this be at first. I am just trying to help. You may think me an ass but I am not trying to be....I guess it just comes natural for me. I think you are trying to learn, so decided to speak. The shot as presented is not doing her any favors. I am still confused as to what you are after from your previous descriptions. I'€™ll be blunt here. If this is glamour re-think it. You have her looking like she just woke up, her hair is a mess and her outfit looks more like a nite shirt with robe. In all honesty I think you need a makeup artist as your photo abilities seem descent. My photoshop skills are poor at best but have attached an image that is trying to convey my thoughts. I did not mean to change her jaw line but in fixing her hair that'€™s how it turned out. The little bit of pop in her lips and eyes was done using a high pass filter. I hope this gives you some ideas to think about. You are not that far off from these being nice shots. I hope you are thick skinned enough to understand I am not trying to be mean even if I don't know what I am talking about.

Respectfully,
Frank

Hey Frank,

No, I am not offended, and I certainly am not thin skinned. Your work on Caylee was much more than I had done making her look a great deal more glamorous. It would appear you even went so far as to using the liquify filter on her, or possibly used a program like Portrait Pro or Viveza, Color FX Pro, Perfect Photo Suite or On1 Software. In any case, you did a lot more glamour processing than I. I was merely trying to keep it looking fairly real for Caylee since she is quite young and is really not a glamour gal. You certainly did make her eyes pop with sharpening and looks like make-up enhancement with either general tools and/or a specific program. Well done, Frank. Thanks for all your work.

I also used the High Pass Filter, but tamed it down a bit, and also did not lighten her iris' as much as you have done. Honestly, I was not trying to make her look much differently, and really not into a glamorous looking, more mature lady. This is probably my error in not really explaining well what my intent really was. It was basically just a head shot/portrait shooting that she could either use on a business card or on a web site of hers, or even on a social media site. I apologize for misleading you and maybe some others. She did not bring any very 'exciting' outfits, and is generally just a home town gal who likes to model a bit, and, she claims to be a photographer as well. I have never seen any of her photos/work, so I can't comment on that much.

Perhaps I will send you a shot or two by PM of a more mature and glamorous model/shoot, so you can see I am much better than what these photos of Caylee indicate based on what you had in your mind this shoot was all about. I really feel bad about misleading you and not being clear at all about Caylee. She really is a sweet young gal and in it's own way, it was a fun and enjoyable shoot. Thank you very much, Frank, for spending so much time on processing her . . . and you did a wonderful job showing me what you thought she should look like.

Best Regards,
Tom

P.S. I'd say you know a fair amount about what you were talking about. By no means cut yourself down, because there are way too many people out there who will do that for you and me and anyone else!

Enjoyed this version, Tom. Frank's 'upgrade' was interesting, and did add a bit to the shot. But for what your goal was, I think you succeeded well. Nice work!
