ROAD TRIPS everybody does it let's share where we have been
Every day is a road trip as i drive truck. Would that be cheating
Dane, my road trips include dirt roads whenever possible....the roads less traveled where I can drive in 2nd or 3rd gear and see the REAL things, the things that count in my life
Thanks for hosting Dane! This will be a wonderful trip to follow!

Thanks for hosting, dane. Took a road trip inland yesterday and stopped along the way to catch some Fall. The first 2 - the scene was great, sky was not and I just couldn't get what I thought I wanted...
Favorite iPhone pix from last week. This gentleman is 83 and has some dementia. I never knew he played the trumpet. He brought it to me, but he couldn't open the case. With a little help the antique trumpet was coaxed from silence and he excitedly told me it's story - then he blasted it! It was so fun.
A trip to Brandywine Falls, Ohio:

I like that second one RR.
1. Stonehenge WW I memorial at the Mary Hill Museum in Washington, overlooking the Columbia River. 10mm, ISO 100, f/22, 1/30 sec. Because I was taking this shot into the sun to get the sunburst, I did it as a three-shot/two-stop bracketed HDR. I merged The +2 and -2 stop shots in the new HDR Merge function of Lightroom, and removed the worst of the "sun spots" in Photoshop.
2. Mt. Hood as seen from Stonehenge. 124mm, ISO 100, f/11, 1/200 sec. Objectionable objects (vehicles, windmills, and buildings) were removed in Snapheal CK. The picture was then cropped and enhanced in Lightroom by decreasing Highlights to 0, Exposure -0.30, Whites +43, Blacks -70, Dehaze +45. I'm surprised the shot came out at all. Mt. Hood was over 150 miles away. With the high, bright sun, it was the worst time of the day to try and take a landscape photo.
