This is a stack of 35x150 with QHY12 CCD, Celestron RASA. Processed in PS, not sure about my processing, I notice other images have more red in them.

Beautiful Brian!

You, the RASA, and that QHY12 CCD are quite the combination!

Outstanding!

Brian that is spectacular work again.
I think you picked up the dust lanes very well.

Thanks Craig, did I mention that I picked up a used Nightscape 8300, I have not used it yet, but I like the previous one I had, so I figured it's a good backup. I don't recall what you got yours for, but I got mine for $700. I thought it was a steal.

That is a real steal Brian I got mine for about $800.
I am still learning how far to push my exposure times.
Any help on that area would be helpful.

For me, with the fast speed of the RASA, I spend more time on reducing the exposure times. You'll experience that when you get your HyperStar.

I imaged this over the weekend but mine looks like a finger painting compared to this.
I didn't stack and only grabbed a few single frames.
This is beautiful. Like I said before, I really like what you are getting with this combination.
Bravo!

I'm sure, like you can attest to with your solar, it's 80% equipment, 5% skill and 15% luck, thanks Jim.

Thank you, how's Akron? I was just in your area a few weeks ago...I grew up in Jackson Township.

Jacksons not far from me. I'm in Firestone park. The city I feel is going down year by year. It's sad to see, lived here. my whole life. Wish we could see the night sky as you shot it.

I like yours the best Brian, I think it is more "natural".

I was curious about your bemusement about the color, so I did a search....
The results are more surprising than a trip to 31 Flavors Ice Cream store.

This is because it is difficult to say what are the correct colors. The camera is pulling in sprectrum from beyond what we can see, and we are changing it to something we can see. Plus everyone is stretching the image into what looks best. And this is never repeatable exactly.

Anyway, with NIK's Viveza 2, you can boost those reds any which way you want, and to get any look that you want.

Such an unscientific method to go with such exact targets!
