The photos are great! This is a Brugmansia - an "Angel's Trumpet". A tropical plant now found mostly in gardens. It is in the nightshade family and is the original source of atropine and related medications. It can be toxic if ingested, and interestingly, I heard from a partera (midwife) in Belize that one folk use of this plant there is that if children have a problem that is bothering them, they put one of these flowers under their pillow at night and the solution to their problem will come to them in a dream.
