Can someone help identify?

What about a one of two for a table leaf, like on a small writing table?

Depends on how they were mounted...

Note that the "upper end" has two holes for mounting, and, the lower end has two also, which are at "right angles" to the upper ones. It would NOT need pivots to function properly, depending on how it is mounted...
