GB Heron with Sony / Tokina

I am still trying to gain some confidence with this Tokina 300 2.8 lens on the Sony A77II.
This is full frame - no crop - no CIZ - no TC - from about 35-40 feet (close) - from bodypod sitting on ground
First image - 1/400, f4, 500 auto ISO - so light was on the low side
Second image 1/800, f5.6, 1250 auto ISO ........ - more light , cropping on sides only

Just as I pulled up in the car - I saw him get a big fish - but could not get the camera ready and get down to where he was in time ....
