Flat on my back.....

I fired up my old retired Nikon D300 and went out to my yard after a rain. The African Iris were in bloom with a cloudy bright sky. I managed to get flat on my back under this iris and shot up with a cloud as the background. The most difficult part of this exercise?.... you guessed it... getting back up off the wet ground and not injuring myself or dropping my camera! :-) Please download in honor of my efforts! :-)

The D300 is still a very capable camera. I've got one with very little use on it, that I can't bring myself to sell. Try to find some cardboard to lay on, you should be kind to your Back!

Nicely done. Light through the leaves is really nice effect.

I like the translucent look of the petals.

Really great shot. Glad you were able to get up and not damage anything. I have many of the same problems when I am down on my belly for a shot. Each year it gets harder to get up. Maybe I will try the back.😊👍

Thank you CPR, photophile and EdR for your kind comments. The translucency and water drops were very nice - God did a great job once again!

Beautiful - and from a different angle. The sun can sometimes be tricky -but you handled it well ..Now for some pushups :)
