I may be "pushing" the catagory, but this is technically "Bird-on-Water"

I appreciate that you have kept the full reflection in your first shot. Too many photographers cut it off either by cropping or in camera. It really adds to the composition in my opinion. A very nice shot, well timed.
And, yes, it does qualify as a BOW.

Beautiful shot! Also qualifies as a fish out of water.

Concur with birdpix...
Reflections mirrored a shimmery aquatic surface adds enchanting harmony to this visual statement...

Thank you for sharing...

Really like reflection shots such as shown but a question: When cropping, it's obvious that you typically want to include the entire reflection but for a taller bird (egrets and herons come to mind), does one usually crop below some imaginary point that would include the bird's feet if in fact they were visible?
I apologize if this question is in the wrong place or forum but I'm new here and still getting used to what goes where.
Thanks

Sometimes we can't/don't get the whole reflection in which case I would follow the general rules used for human photos and that is not to cut at the joints but somewhere in between.
I hope that makes some sense.
