Lightroom upgrade supports Canon 5D Mark IV RAW

For those of you fortunate enough to own the Canon 5D Mark IV, Adobe yesterday (9/19) released an upgrade to LR CC that supports RAW. Source - Improve Photography.

Yes they updated Camera RAW and Bridge which will cover anything RAW in Photoshop. Photoshop proper will not handle RAW.

I just did and update and all is well. 5D Mark IV raw files are good.

I think he was referring to the exceptionally whiny thread from a new member a few days ago regarding Adobe updates for this newly released body. That's thread initial post was way over the top, and a number of the posters found that OP to be pretty whiny. Don't recall if you participated in that thread. Carl was apparently just doing his Carl thing by reminding us of it.

Is this update only for Lightroom CC or is the stand alone version able to be updated too?

I don't know. To find out, click on help menu and then go to updates and see if there's an update available. If there is, you can assume that it's got one ready and that it will probably have the new raw programming for the Canon 5D Mark IV.
